Where are you located?
We operate out of Safe Harbor Wentworth by the Sea Marina, located at 116 Morgan Way, New Castle, New Hampshire, conveniently near Portsmouth, NH.
What type of charters do you offer?
We offer private, fully customizable charters on our 39-foot boat, the Sara Rose. Charters can range from 2 to 8 hours and are tailored to your preferences. Whether you’re interested in sightseeing, relaxing, or a combination of activities, we create a unique experience for each group.
Does the boat have a strong fish smell?
Not at all! The Sara Rose is kept impeccably clean, functional, and comfortable for all guests. The open cockpit comfortably seats 6 guests, and the helm area provides shade, weather protection, and climate control, including heat and air conditioning (though rarely needed).
Does the boat have a head/bathroom?
Yes! The Sara Rose has a fully functional and clean head (bathroom). Guests will need to navigate a few steps below deck to access it.
Booking and Reservations
How do I book a charter?
You can book a charter by contacting us directly through our website or by calling/texting 603-913-3533.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled charter will incur a cancellation fee.
On the Day of the Charter
Where do we meet for the charter?
Specific meeting instructions will be provided upon booking. Typically, we meet at the head of D-Dock at Safe Harbor Wentworth by the Sea Marina. Look for the blue awning labeled A, B, C, D and E.
Do I need to wear a life jacket?
Life jackets are provided and must be worn by children at all times. Life jackets are
available for adults but are optional.
Are pets allowed on board?
Pets may be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire in advance.

Absolutely! Whether you want to focus on sightseeing, historic tours, wildlife spotting, or just relaxing on the water, we can tailor your trip to your preferences.
Do you offer fishing charters?
If you’re looking for a dedicated fishing trip, we can refer you to a charter that specializes in fishing. However, if you’d like to wet a line as part of your cruise, we’re happy to provide the necessary gear and supplies.
Can you accommodate special events or celebrations?
Yes! We love hosting special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate outings. Contact us to discuss how we can make your event special.
Weather and Conditions
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our charter?
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule your charter or provide a full refund. We will communicate with you in advance if any weather-related changes are necessary.
What is the best time of year to book a charter?
The best time for a charter depends on your preferences:
- Summer months offer warm weather and longer daylight hours.
- Spring & Fall provide beautiful scenery and fewer crowds.
- Our boat is equipped with heat, so we ensure a comfortable experience regardless of the weather.
What’s the best time of day for a charter?
It depends on your preference!
- Morning cruises tend to be calmer.
- Afternoon cruises offer excellent sightseeing.
- Evening cruises provide stunning sunset views.
Payments and Pricing
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Payment details will be provided upon booking.
Do you offer any discounts or promotions?
Occasionally, we offer seasonal promotions and discounts for repeat customers. Please check our website or contact us for current offers.
Should we tip the captain?
While gratuities are never required, they are always appreciated. If you had a great experience, a tip of 15-20% is customary in the charter industry.
Can we bring alcohol on board?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages. We ask that all guests drink responsibly, and the captain reserves the right to limit alcohol consumption for safety reasons.
How many guests can the boat accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 6 guests per charter to ensure comfort and safety.
Is the boat wheelchair accessible?
The boat is not fully wheelchair accessible, as guests need to step aboard and navigate a few steps to access the cabin and bathroom. However, we have accommodated wheelchair users in the past with the assistance of their families. If you or a loved one requires special accommodations, please contact us in advance to discuss whether we can safely and comfortably accommodate your needs.
